Bridal Bling

Some have said that I must be a little insane…. As I just love brides & anything to do with weddings (even had 2 of my own!!) I think I love the thrill, and the excitement of being apart of someone’s special day, all the little girly bling bits that add to making the day extra special.  It’s a wonderful feeling knowing that my part of this special “I DO” Day will be remembered forever for the Bride & her Groom (or in my case until the next one!)

For the last 8 years, my ‘full time’ job has been working 1 or 2 days a week doing Brides hair & makeup….I’m a Bridal Stylist… and I’m extremely good at it! I notice details, I notice the special little bits that others miss and I make sure that the day is all about the Bride!! Plus I’m great with hair & makeup!! 

Over the years I have enjoyed giving my Brides a little special gift, I never realised that this would somehow turned into me having 2 full time jobs…... I now also make Bridal Bling for Brides.  I hand make Personalised Coat Hangers, Memory Charms for bridal bouquets, as well as offering brides “I DO” shoe stickers & Iron on Rhinestone Bling transfers for Brides…. All the special little bits that make great photo opportunities which in turn becomes wonderful memories. 

Even though I now have 2 full time jobs, and I’m even busier than I’d imagine… It’s ok, I’m enjoying being apart of so many Brides Special day…. Plus I am still able to be extremely flexible with my hours and as my children are now teens they are less demanding on my time (in theory).  I love receiving photos & letters from past “bling” Brides and now I’m not only WOWing the local Brides with hair & makeup… I’m WOWing Brides all around Australia & Overseas with BRIDAL BLING too!

Marjorie - Handmade for Children

Hello my business is called marjorie-handmade for children.

 

My latest range is half aprons for girls. They feature gingham fabric with small check. They have a very long waistband that ties once around the waist and then ties into a beautiful big bow at the front. The apron features a very large pocket as its special feature. The pocket is made from beautiful vintage fabrics, including some featuring australian native flora from a vintage tablecloth.

 

I also make pinafores, dresses, skirts, cooking aprons for girls and boys and library bags. My style is very vintage inspired and I buy only a small amount of each fabric to make only one or two unique items.

 

I am a mother of three children: 4, 3 and 8 months old. I am a photographer and mosaic artist, but am venturing into a new journey with fabric as it is easier to achieve something creative daily with my three children at home.

My business is named after my dear grandmother Marjorie, and her beautiful 50's style in decorating and clothing are my inspiration.

Hooked on Names

We are a local small family business that handmakes personalised keyrings and bag tags called Hooked on Names. Our business was born, when our daughter was after her name on a bag tag, that looked pretty and was in her favorite colours. Over the years we have developed a great fundraising package for any school, preschool, sports group or club that is fun and easy for to run, allowing ordering via both actual order forms and online ordering. Our online store went live twelve months ago, allowing us to ship orders all around Australia.  Now with three children, we love to share our products with people at markets all over Victoria, and enjoy meeting children that have them on their bags, and hearing their stories about why they love their Hooked on Names keyring.

With our keyrings, we offer letters and numbers, which is great for those in a sports team! To make each keyring more unique, you can add your favorite colours, (choosing from over thirty different ones) and one of our specialty beads, either a heart, butterfly or one of our sports beads. The keyrings come ready made or in a kit form, for the crafty kids!
